The au-pair programme is a cultural exchange programme. Our Au pairs are welcomed as a member by the host family and we have fantastic au pair host families all over the world. A typical au-pair is between 18 - 27 with an interest in children and some childcare experience. If you have the desire to go overseas, experience a new culture and learn a foreign language then this is the RIGHT CHOICE for you. You have to speak at least a little English and in order to succeed as an au-pair you need to be flexible and easygoing. The idea is for the au-pair to stay and work for a family in exchange for a pocket salary, room and board .

  2. no written contract or arrangement
  3. little or no experience in the au pair industry
  4. lack of professionalism or financial stability
  5. non-existent standards or guidelines
